        ศึกษาปัญหาของมูลฝอยต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและชุมชน วิวัฒนาการของการจัดการมูลฝอยชุมชน นโยบาย และกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้อง หลักเกณฑ์ในการจัดการมูลฝอยในแง่ของแหล่งกำเนิดต่างๆ ชนิด องค์ประกอบและลักษณะสมบัติของมูลฝอย การคาดการณ์ปริมาณมูลฝอย เทคโนโลยีการนำมูลฝอยกลับมาใช้ประโยชน์ (Recycling) การเก็บรวบรวม เก็บขน และขนส่งรวมถึงวิธี/เทคโนโลยีการกำจัดต่างๆ เช่น การฝังกลบอย่างถูกหลักสุขาภิบาล การหมักทำปุ๋ย การใช้เตาเผา และ การวางแผนการจัดการมูลฝอย

          Problem trends of municipal solid waste, evolvement of municipal solid waste management, its relevant policy and law; principles of solid waste management in terms of sources, compositions, properties/ characteristics, solid waste quantity prediction, recycling technology, waste storage & collection, transportation, treatment and disposal methods/ technology i.e. sanitary landfill, composting, incineration (thermal treatment), and solid waste management planning.
